So what is so great about nothing?

Coca-Cola Zero is apparently a big deal, based on the amount of effort Coke spends marketing it. Pepsi doesn’t do a “zero”, but they do Pepsi One, which is essentially the same idea. The fashion industry has embraced the concept of “Size Zero”, which we see manifested in the form of models who are starved almost to death. Despite public outcry, the runways are still populated by sweet young things who have adopted anorexia as a way of life.
What’s going on here? When did nothing become a goal worth chasing? I’m confused.
Perhaps we now have too much of so many things that nothing sounds like a good idea…..

Me, I’ll take the Pepsi One over the Coke Zero. Anything’s gotta be better than nothing, right?
